Funkydreamers are two friends from Coimbra (Portugal) who decided to join their dedication and passion for house music and create this project. Nuno C and Diogo C are only 16 old but their passion for music began very early. These two guys have a lot of dreams and projects related to music and they are now getting started into production. They use to dj together and there will be some mixes available here. The Funky Dreams project started on summer 2006 but we decided to take things slow and let the time work too... ;)
Nuno C djs for 2 years but his passion for house music started many years ago. His love for deep house beats, beautiful vocals, balearic, energetic and feel-good sounds are expressed in all his mixes. Sometimes he uses some acapellas to push things up, but he is still improving his skills. His mixes depend on the mood he is each day and he has the habit of expressing himself through music. Nuno C has many influences like Blaze, Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Brian Tappert, Jamie Lewis, Jask, JJK, Jon Cutler, Grant Nelson, Dennis Ferrer, Quentin Harris, Copyright and soooo on... He is also a fan of genres like disco, jazz, soul and some rock. Some of his favourite artists are Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Alicia Keys, Télépopmusik, Norah Jones, to name a few. Nuno C is now getting started into production which will take a lot of time to be nice :)
Diogo C djs for 1 year and he is a big fan of afro-beats, balearic stuff and female vocals. He is now starting to use acapellas and he bought recently his material. His musical taste is close to Nuno C's and so they have been created a unique style together. He loves all stuff from Purple Music, Defected and Soulfuric, and he is a big fan of Louie Vega, Jask, Brian Tappert, Mr. V, Grant Nelson and many others. He also likes other musical styles like hip-hop and rock. I think he will tell more about himself when he has time to write something here... busy guy! ahah ;)
